City Code Compliance

What We Do

The City of Vacaville’s Code Compliance staff respond to complaints regarding Municipal Code violations which affect the safety, quality of life and appearance of the City. We promote Neighborhood Preservation by collaborating with other departments and agencies and working with residents to develop neighborhood based solutions to improve the quality of our community.

Any owner of a foreclosed or vacant building shall register the property in the City of Vacaville’s monitoring program within thirty (30) days of the building becoming vacant in accordance with Vacaville Municipal Code (VMC) section 8.10.030. If you are an owner of a vacant property, please fill out and submit our Vacant Property Form.

To report a location that may be in violation of the Municipal Code, click  here or send an email to dhr@cityofvacaville.com. An inspection will be scheduled as soon as possible. You may also contact a department representative by calling (707) 449-5693 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m
