	Pre-Purchase Counseling Pre-Purchase Counseling – helps clients thoroughly understand the various processes and responsibilities associated with homeownership. Clients will be counseled individually and in groups through HELP classes on all of the following (but not limited to): Real Estate terms Types of housing available for purchase HUD mortgage insurance programs and other City programs (i.e. Down Payment Assistance Loans and Mortgage Credit Certificates) Purchasing procedures Advice and assistance on home and neighborhood selection Unit inspection Understanding special single housing responsibilities Housing care and maintenance Introductory workshop on how credit works And much more. . .
