SECTION 8 WAITING LIST

Applications for Section 8 Now Being Accepted

 

The Vacaville Housing Authority and the Solano County Housing Authority are now accepting applications for placement on the Waiting List to receive rent assistance under the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program until 5 p.m. on March 1, 2010. For more information, click here.

To Apply:

 

All applications for the Vacaville & Solano County Housing Authorities Section 8 Waiting Lists must be submitted online.

  

Please read the following information before proceeding to the online application.

 

Elderly and/or disabled individuals may request assistance with the application by contacting 707-449-5675.

 

Waiting list priority is based on the preferences you check on your application.  For a list of preferences and definitions click here.  The more preferences you meet, the closer your number will be to the top of the waiting list (keep in mind that you must provide proof that you meet these preferences when your name reaches the top of the list).

 

Changes to your waiting list application must be made in writing on an update form and can be submitted in person or by mail to: Vacaville Housing Authority, 40 Eldridge Avenue Suite 2, Vacaville, CA 95688 or by e-mail at HousingAuthority@cityofvacaville.com.

 

Position number is subject to change each month. You are required to notify the Housing Authority of any changes in writing. If the Housing Authority cannot contact you at the most current address on file, your name will be removed from the waiting list.

 

You can check your number on the Wait List two ways:

 

1.   Online, log on to www.waitlistcheck.com

• Enter the 4 digit YEAR of your birth
• Enter your Social Security Number (do not use dashes, just enter the 9 digits)
• You can print a copy of the information for your records
• Click on Log out when you are done

 OR

 

2.   Call the toll free number 1 (800) 759-7159      

• Enter your Social Security Number
• Enter the 4 digit YEAR of your birth
