CITY OF VACAVILLE'S ELECTRIC VEHICLE INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The City of Vacaville's Electric Vehicle Incentive Program (EV Program) was designed as an incentive to offset the incremental cost of electric vehicles when compared to similarly equipped gasoline-powered vehicles. The incentive provided up to $6,000 for an electric vehicle lease or purchase.

The EV Program has been made available to those who live in or work in the northeastern half of Solano County, essentially Vacaville, Dixon, and Rio Vista. Occasionally there are lease assumption opportunities that become available for the General Motors EV1 two-seater sports coupe or the Toyota RAV4 EV.  However, automakers are no longer offering electric vehicles which can travel on the freeway.

A listing of electric vehicle public charging infrastructure can be found at the EV Charger News website.
