Sanitary Sewer Management Plan (SSMP)
This website provides access to the City of Vacaville's Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP). The City’s SSMP contains information on City programs and plans for operation and maintenance of the wastewater collection system. Each element of the SSMP will describe how the City’s programs and plans comply with the various provisions of the Statewide General Waste Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer Systems.
About the Statewide General Waste Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer Systems
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has adopted order number 2006-0003-DWQ, Statewide General Waste Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer Systems, also referred to as WDRs for collection systems. This order is intended to promote proper management of wastewater collection systems and reduce the occurrences of sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs).
