Vacaville Transit Plaza

The empty lot at the corner of E. Monte Vista and Cernan where the transit center will be built.

The Vacaville City Council awarded the contract for the Vacaville Transit Plaza project to Cal Inc. at their Council meeting on September 12. Cal Inc., a Vacaville contractor, will begin work on the project in early October. 

The transit plaza site is located at the corner of East Monte Vista Avenue and Cernon Street.  The project includes construction of five  pedestrian shelters, a clock tower, and various architectural elements including colorizing the concrete flatwork.  The project is fully funded with grant funds received from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Transportation Development Act (TDA). Construction is scheduled for completion in February 2007.
