Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant treats an average of 7.8 million gallons of wastewater per day. The clean water is released into Alamo Creek, where it travels along to Cache Slough, replenishing the habitat. Then, after a thorough treatment process, the disinfected biosolids are taken to the landfill.
The City is currently is the process of expanding the treatment plant. More information is available under Major Project Updates.
